Alphington Primary School provides students from Foundation to Year 6 with the opportunity to participate in a safe, structured outdoor education program. The program encourages social interaction and interdependence, promotes independence and self-sufficiency in environments different to the regular classroom. At APS we have developed a program that begins in Foundation, with a two hour twilight evening at school, and culminates in a week long residential camp in Year 6. We believe that by providing opportunities at every year level we have created a camping program that allows our students to make the most of the opportunities provided.
