Alphington Primary School has a comprehensive assessment schedule to ensure effective monitoring of student learning. Students are assessed against the learning outcomes of the Victorian Curriculum. Semester progress reports are delivered in June and December. In addition, students showcase their learning throughout the year at events to which the school community is invited. Learning is also shared via student portfolios, which accompany the written reports in Semester 1 and 2.
Students are also provided with opportunities to reflect upon their learning during three way conferences. Here students share selected work samples with parents / carers, celebrating their successes and identifying future learning goals.
