Alphington Primary School

Comprehensive Assessment

Alphington Primary School has a comprehensive assessment schedule to ensure effective monitoring of student learning. Students are assessed against the learning outcomes of the Victorian Curriculum. Semester progress reports are delivered in June and December. In addition, students showcase their learning throughout the year at events to which the school community is invited. Learning is also celebrated via student digital portfolios.

This allows students to share work with their families, in real time, throughout the year. In addition, the platform provides an opportunity for families to provide feedback, helping to develop an authentic home school partnership.

Students are also provided with opportunities to reflect upon their learning during Student Led Conferences. Here students share selected work samples with parents / carers, celebrating their successes and identifying future learning goals.
