Alphington Primary School provides students from Year 2 to Year 6 with the opportunity to participate in a safe, structured camping program. Camping offers students the opportunity to expand their learning and social skills in alternative cultural or outdoor environmental settings. The program encourages social interaction and interdependence, promotes independence and self-sufficiency in environments different to the classroom. APS camps have a emphasis on promoting self esteem, resourcefulness, independence, leadership, judgement, co-operation and acceptance.
